Support + Care

The Caring Ministries at Carlisle BIC exist to release trained and gifted individuals in the church body to care for and support others in the body who are struggling with ongoing or crisis issues, primarily by helping them form a more intimate relationship with God and the church community.

DivorceCare: meets Thursdays from 6:30–8:30 PM in room 106.
GriefShare: Please sign up on your connect card if you are interested in attending GriefShare.
Celebrate Recovery: meets on Mondays at 6:30 PM in room 103.
Stephen Ministers: For information about having a Stephen Minister for one-to-one care, contact Pastor Linda.

If you have any suggestions to help us facilitate better care, or if you need to find assistance for yourself or a loved one please e-mail our Pastor of Congregational Care, Linda Lambert.

Cancer Companions Launches on Sunday, April 19:
Cancer Companions are caring people who help cancer families get through difficult times. They are caring Christians who are trained to be peer support by helping people cope with cancer in their lives. They do this either through groups or one-to-one.

Whether meeting one-on-one at a coffee ship or gathering with others in a Christian support group, patients, survivors, and their loved ones find the connections they need to draw closer to Christ on their cancer journey.

Cancer Companions are caring people who “”get it.”” One cancer survivor said, “”I have people who love me and care for me but what I need is someone who ‘gets it.'”” Cancer Companions understand the difficulties of cancer treatment and they are ready to listen. Not everyone affected by cancer is the one with cancer. Cancer Companions is there for family and friends, too.

This new caring ministry is launching on Sunday, April 19. Stop by one of the tables in the lobbies of the auditorium and sanctuary to talk to one of our Cancer Companions.
